Coach Jordan Ott mentioned that Kennard fared well in practice, but it seems the team is wanting to monitor him closely over the next day or so before clearing him for Wednesday's opener. "He did more today, for sure, in practice," said Ott. "This was kind of a test day to see exactly where he's at. Tomorrow will be a lower day. Try to be right for Wednesday." Kennard experienced knee soreness near the end of the preseason, forcing him to miss Wednesday's exhibition, but it isn't expected to be long-term issue.

Ighodaro proved to be a serviceable big man during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 6.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 22.0 minutes per contest across 82 appearances. He will be under contract through the 2030-31 season with the extension. Ighodaro has been dealing with hip soreness to close the preseason, but there haven't been any indications that it will keep him out for the regular season opener Wednesday.
