2020 NBA Fantasy Basketball MVP Discussion: Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 5 Best Stat Lines Of The Season

The Milwaukee Bucks is comfortably sitting atop the NBA for pretty much 85% of the season until the suspension. If you have to name one reason for their resurgence, no doubt it would Giannis Antetokonmpo. Known as the Greek Freak, Antetokounmpo is the reigning MVP and is probably on his way to bag a second straight Maurice Podoloff Trophy. However, while there may be no denying that Giannis is the best player of the NBA's best team, is he also the Number 1 in fantasy basketball? Well, for discussion's Read More

2020 NBA Fantasy Basketball MVP Discussion: James Harden’s 5 Best Stat Lines Of the Season

James Harden has been the best, if not the best, fantasy basketball player over the last five years but does he still sit atop the fantasy basketball world this season? For roto-based leagues, he might still be. ESPN's rankings on category-based leagues (roto and H2H categories) all have the Beard as No. 1. He was No. 6 on points rankings but there's no denying the statistical impact he still has, despite playing with a high-usage guy next to him.  Like LeBron James, Harden's longevity in fantasy Read More

Why You Need Patience In Fantasy Basketball

Patience is a virtue and that's a fact even in fantasy basketball. There's a reason somebody came up with the adage "good things come to those who wait" because, well, good things come to those who wait. In fantasy basketball, the hardest thing to figure is when to cut bait and when to be patient when your players are under-performing. Or if someone who was predicted to be a breakout candidate couldn't get 20 minutes of playing time. This is a dated reference but remember how Pascal Siakam started Read More

3 Reasons why you SHOULD play fantasy basketball this season

Fantasy basketball is not as popular, let's say, compared to fantasy football but it shares a lot of its wonderful elements. It gives a reason to watch every game plus building teams through the draft is just as exciting. You can bond over it and offers unlimited trash-talking opportunities, which is, to be honest, the most fun part of it all. The main thing is, most fantasy football players or managers generally do not like playing fantasy basketball for a lot of reasons. That includes the schedule Read More

January 4th DraftKings Lineup.

I hope everyone had a chance to use the core lineup I gave on Monday. DeRozan had a career night and the other 4 had point totals well above their FPPG average. Nurkic and Valentine were both under 5% owned.

Tonight is only a 2 game slate, my wheelhouse is 5-9 games in a night, but I was able to create a lineup that looked decent. My 8 player team broke down to 4 different FPPG tiers; 2 in the 40s, 2 in the 30s, 2 in the 20s and 2 in the 10s.

The 40s- Durant 48.8, Paul 42.2

Happy New Year everyone. The start of the 2017-18 NBA season was for me, hoping to continue the trend as the calendar rolls over into 2018. Here are some must plays for Monday night.

PG.

Elfrid Payton, $7,100

Elfrid Payton has been playing very well the past couple of games. His FPPG is 29.8, however, in the last 5 games that average is up to 40.6. He is matched up tonight against Spencer Dinwiddie. Dinwiddie has done a great job filling in for the injured D'Angelo Russell, but is a Read More

DraftKing Tips for November 30th.

There have been a lot of key injuries this season, and It has made for some fun match ups with bench players getting big minutes in some cases. Drafting players that are 10% drafted or less can definitely be the separation you need from the Chalk DFS players. Here are a few Draftkings players I recommend drafting today, injuries played a big part in most of my picks.

Draftkings lineup for November 27th.

This is my first article for Fantasybasketball101. I will be giving lineups and draft tips on the DraftKings site. FanDuel is well represented on this site and I am a better player on DraftKings anyways so it works out nicely.

I am going to try to write an article on days that have between 5-8 games. Lineups I make in that game range are the ones I am confident in the most.

Fantasy Basketball Stock Watch: Players Trending Up And Down

OK, I know it's early in the season but we have to do this nonetheless. Some of the guys are playing so poorly we can't blame owners if they have gotten rid of them already. (Hello, Nikola Jokic!) Some, however, are just "beasting" from out of nowhere and some of them are probably available in your leagues you have got to drop someone for these surprise studs.

Stock Up
Joel Embiid, C, Philadelphia 76ers

If there are any questions about how good Joel Embiid is, I reckon all of them are answered Read More
