Start Em, Sit Em – NBA DFS Dec 22, 2017

Start ‘Em:

Anthony Davis, PF, NO ($11,300)

The Brow has been money lately, scoring 50 FP or more in each of his last three games. When you average 48.0 FPPG, it’s hard to beat your average in three straight games, but Davis dropped 37 points, 9 rebounds an assist and a steal on Tuesday against Washington. The game before that he had 5 blocks. He’s only the 5th most expensive player tonight, and always has a legit shot be the top fantasy scorer.

Lonzo Ball PG, LAL ($7,400)

I still think Lonzo has been overhyped, but he has improved over the past month. He’s rebounding the ball more, getting 7 a game which has helped him outscore his fantasy average each of his last 4 games. He’s still not averaging 10 points a game, but his rebounds and assists should give him a high floor tonight against the Warriors.

Sit ‘Em:

Otto Porter Jr., SF, WAS($6,700)

Don’t be tempted by Porter Jr.’s low salary price. He’s missed the last 2 games and is questionable for tonight’s matchup with the Nets. I think there’s a good chance the Wizards try and win without him, so he can be fresh for the matchup with the Celtics on Christmas Day. If he doesn’t play, grab Kelly Oubre who would continue to get a boost in playing time and value.

Carmelo Anthony, SF, OKC, ($6,600)

People are starting to wonder whether it was worth it to bring Carmelo over to the Thunder. He’s only averaging 17.3 ppg, including games with 4 and 12 points this week. Even worse, he’s only getting 1.5 assists per game including just 6 over his last 5 games. Playing on a team with gifted scorers like Westbrook and Paul George, I would expect better assist numbers. His lack of assists really lowers his ceiling.
