Raptors Hot Start and 4 Players You Need in Your DraftKings Lineup for Saturday, November 10th

The Raptors Look Unstoppable

I was worried about the DeRozan/Kawhi trade when it first happened. I wasn’t concerned about the value, the Raptors won the trade, I was worried about Kawhi wanting to play in Toronto. My worries were laid to rest a few games into the season

Kawhi leads the team in PPG with 26, rebounds with 8, steals with 1.8 and he will be a candidate for DPOY. Danny Green came over in the trade as well and he is been great for Toronto whether he is starting or coming off the bench.

Serge Ibaka has turned back the clock, he is averaging 17 points, 7.8 rebounds and leads the team in blocks. Siakam plays more minutes and has gotten a lot of starts at PF, Ibaka will start a lot of games at Center though. He has adapted to the what is expected of a modern big man, he still pounds the ball down low but he can also play on the perimeter and can space the floor.

Nick Nurse first season as head coach for Toronto could not have started better. Like Mike Budenholzer, Nurse is taking over a playoff team that has a top 5 player, expectations were pretty high heading into the season. The Raptors 11-1 record is the best record to start a season in franchise history and it is the best record in the league. Their only loss was in Milwaukee with no Kawhi. Toronto averages 117 PPG and their +9.3 point differential is 4th in the league. 7 players are averaging double digit points and Nurse has rolled with his 10 man rotation with the best bench in the league.

I hope the Raptors continue to play at this level, Im sure getting to the NBA Finals will be a could recruitment tool to have Kawhi stay here.

4 Players You Need in your DraftKings Lineup

Dennis Schroder

With Westbrook out, Schroder will get the start against the Cavs. I had high hoped for the Mavs this year but they are in the bottom of the West at 3-8 and are giving up 115 PPG. Schroder is $7,000 on DraftKings, I think the price is a little low with Westbrook being out I thought DK would bump his salary a couple hundred bucks.

Zach LaVine

LaVine has been on fire to start the season. He is averaging 27.5 PPG and dropped 41 on the Knicks in MSG earlier this week. The Cavs are a train wreck, they have the worst record in the NBA and they are invisible on defense. I think LaVine will pick apart Cleveland, and with the Bulls being terrible as well, there is less of a risk that LaVine will take the 4th quarter off because they are blowing them out. Both teams allow 114 PPG so this game should be a shootout. LaVine is $8,100, I am scooping him up.

Quinn Cook

Steph Curry is out for tonights game against the Nets. Cook is getting the start and he is only $4,200. Cook played great last year for the Warriors when Curry was out. Obviously he is not Curry, but he has the same style to keep Golden States offense running like Steph would. The last 2 games Cook had 24 fantasy points in 19 minutes off the bench. With the increased minutes playing with the first unit, I’m confident Cook will be able to fill the stat sheet.

Jrue Holiday

New Orleans have cooled off from their start. They jumped out to a 4-0 record, but they have gone 1-6 in their last 7 games. Despite the Slump, the Pelicans still average 117.5 PPG and the Suns give up 114 PPG. Jrue is another high salary guy, $8,500, but you can pick up a few cheap starters to free up some salary. Dante Cunningham is starting SF for the Spurs and he is $3,400.
