Daily Fantasy NBA: Value Plays (October 18, 2017)

The NBA season has just began… and opening night saw Gordon Hayward go down with a potential season-ending ankle injury, and the Houston Rockets with the come from behind victory at Golden State Warriors.

Daily Fantasy NBA: Value Plays (October 18, 2017)
Today we will target players that shall exceed value because of increase usage due to injuries on their team.

LaMarcus Aldridge, PF, San Antonio Spurs (FanDuel: $7,000)

Spurs are missing Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker for their season-opener. LaMarcus Aldridge shall see an increase in usage and minutes, and averaged 17.3 pts last season. Aldridge has a nice match-up against Taj Gibson inside.

Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers (FanDuel: $8,800)
Damian Lillard will have all the chances to score in this game as his teammate C.J. McCollum is out with a one game suspension. Lillard scored 27 pts, 5.9 ast and 4.9 reb in the 2016-17 season, and shall have an easy time scoring against Eric Bledsoe or Devin Booker.

Jaylen Brown, SG, Boston Celtics (FanDuel: $3,700)
Jayson Tatum, SF, Boston Celtics (FanDuel: $3,500)
Gordon Hayward is out. That means Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Marcus Smart will play more minutes and will be asked to do more. In the opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brown played 39 min, and posted 25 pts and 6 reb, and Tatum logged 36 mins with 14 pts and 8 reb. Both guys are very cheap and shall exceed value very easily since both are expected to play 30+ minutes.
