Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 11, 2020

There were hits and a miss from the Feb. 10, 2020 suggestions but I guess it’s not enough to halt my streak.

  • From up top, I gave you Nikola Vucevic and Kristaps Porzingis and they did what they had to as pillars for your fake teams. Vucevic had 24-9-9 and a block, and that fact that he did not commit a single turnover maximized his counting stats. KP, on the other hand, had 28 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks.
  • Malcolm Brogdon was underwhelming this time as he had his worst statistical game since Jan. 22. He shot only 3-for-11 and finished with six points, four rebounds, and three assists.
  • As for Kyle Kuzma, the third-year forward is historically very good against Phoenix and this is no different. He had 9-8-4 plus a steal and two blocks. Victor Oladipo had 12-4-3, which is OK, since he is still a bargain in all DFS platforms.

The Brogdon pick obviously hurt but if you had Kuzma, his production could at least soften the impact. And if you’re out here early listening to some news and happened to pick up Khris Middleton, then I think that’s enough to win your league. Middleton had 28-11-8 plus a steal, leading Milwaukee with Giannis Antetokounmpo sitting down.

The Studs

I normally would love to pick Damian Lillard but if his DraftKings salary ($10,300) throws you back, options still abound in this five-game night.

First name I am going to drop is Joel Embiid ($9,100 at DK, $41 at Yahoo)in a night when the Sixers face off against the Clippers at home. LAC may be a pretty good defensive team but I don’t think they’ll have an answer for The Process, who dropped 64.5 points at DK in 30 minutes versus Chicago.

I’d also strongly consider Jayson Tatum, who is averaging 28.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 “stocks” and almost five treys made a game over the past five outings. Tatum costs just as much as Embiid at Yahoo but is only at $8,400 at DraftKings.

Some Awesome Value

Since I probably wouldn’t go near Dame because of his salary, it’s another story with C.J. McCollum, who is only priced at $6,400 at DraftKings. The Trail Blazers will go up against one of the fastest teams in the league in New Orleans, so I expect the stats to be aplenty.

While McCollum is not the most consistent coming into Tuesday night (30.5 FP over the past six games), I couldn’t say the same with Chris Paul ($6,800), who has hit at least 33 FP in nine of the last 10 games.

McCollum and Paul are great picks over at DK but if you’re looking for someone at the $23-$26 range at Yahoo, Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari, and Robert Covington are your guys. All of them are priced at $23 (Gallinari is at 24 bucks) and are all low-floor, high-ceiling guys capable of going for 40 FP on a given night.

The Bargains

One of the more under-the-radar fantasy guys, especially in DFS, is Chandler Hutchison of the Bulls. Hutch is quietly averaging 11.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals over the past four games and is only worth 13 bucks at Yahoo and $4,600 at DK.

Like Hutch, Gary Trent, Jr. ($12 at Yahoo, $4,400 at DK) has also been lighting it up the past four contests to the tune of 16.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 3.8 treys made a game in that span.

That said, I can only suggest one or the other since the likelihood of their hot streaks halted is also high.
