5 Must-Start Guys For NBA FanDuel DFS Wednesday– Jan. 10, 2018

1. Markieff Morris, PF, Washington Wizards ($5,100)

Kieff has been a force on the glass lately with three double-doubles in a row and four consecutive double-digit rebounding efforts. Best thing is, his shooting has also found its mark in that span, hitting at a 57% clip from the floor. Next matchup will be Utah, which can be tough on the interior, but Morris salary is middling at best, still making him one of the must-start guys for NBA DFS Wednesday.

2. Eric Gordon, SG, Houston Rockets ($7,100)

Retaining a first-unit role due to James Harden’s hamstring injury, Gordon has been a stud lately, averaging 21.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.5 steals and three 3PM in the last four. Portland isn’t quite known to be a very good defensive team on the perimeter so expect Gordon to churn up some stats with his heavy dose of minutes.

3. Jimmy Butler, SG/SF, Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,700)

To anchor a fantasy lineup, you have to have a straight-up stud and Wednesday night, my choice would be either CP3 or Jimmy Buckets. Obviously, my choice went to Butler as he is totally lighting it up for the past 12 games. He has sensational averages of 26.3 points, six assists, 4.8 rebounds and two steals during that time frame. You can’t also go wrong with CP but I’d give Buckets the nod for now.

4. Ish Smith, PG, Detroit Pistons ($6,600)

Since taking over the point guard reigns in Motor City, Smith has been solid. He is averaging 14 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.6 rebounds while starting Detroit’s last five games in place of the injured Reggie Jackson. Smith is not much of a three-point shooter so don’t expect him to suddenly go Curry on anyone but he s highly efficient and will probably give you a couple steals and spot blocks. The Pistons will be playing the run-and-gun Nets so as fantasy owners, we hope the faster pace will turn out to be a positive on Smith’s stats.

5. Bismack Biyombo, C, Orlando Magic ($5,600)

Biyombo is holding down the middle with Nikola Vucevic’ absence and is putting up 8.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots per game over his past six outings. The Magic will be up against the young and spry Bucks of Milwaukee giving Biyombo plenty of shots to challenge and misses to rebound.

FanDuel Bargains to consider:

Jarret Jack, PG, NY Knicks ($4,500)– Has hit at least 27 FP in three of the last five outings.

Denzel Valentine, SF, Chicago Bulls ($4,700)– DV has erupted for 36 FP against Houston

John Collins, PF, Atlanta Hawks ($4,800)– Don’t know what’s going on in Atlanta, but Collins just played 8 minutes vs the Clippers. Even with that paltry PT, he still managed to put 16 FP. Free the kid already, Bud!

Shabazz Napier, PG, Portland ($4,200)– If Damian Lillard misses another game, Napier is a must-start over any other mid-tier guards you may already have.

Marcin Gortat, C, Washington Wizards ($4,500)– The Polish Hammer has been pretty solid in the past three, topping at over 36 FP his best game. Gortat’s size will come in handy against a bigger Utah front court so he may have more value in this game than anyone thinks.
