5 Unbelievable Numbers/Facts In Game 1 Of The NBA Finals

1. KD (and Draymond) couldn't guard LeBron. Basically, nobody could touch LeBron in Game 1 as he went off for a playoff career-high 51 points. But KD, Bron's primary defender, allowed him to score 30 points on 10-for-15 shooting. To be fair to KD, Draymond Green didn't do a better job, either. Green was LeBron's primary defender in eight possessions, and James scored eight points on 4-for-6 shooting. Apparently, the Dubs need Iggy real quick or LeBron will probably average 45 in this series. 2. Read More

NBA MVP Power Rankings

A little over a month ago, here’s how my Power Rankings stacked up: 1A) James Harden, PG, HOU (31.6 ppg) 1B) LeBron James, SF, CLE (28.2 ppg) 3) Kyrie Irving, PG, BOS (24 ppg) 4) Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF, MIL (29.9) A LOT has changed in a month so let’s get to some updated rankings Kevin Durant, SF, GSW, 26.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists Durant has easily been the most consistent player in the league this year. We’re used to him dropping 26+ points Read More

5 Must-Start Players For NBA DFS Monday– December 18, 2017

1. Kevin Durant, SF/PF, Golden State Warriors Starting with the highest-paid guy, KD is a no-brainer must-start for every DFS team. You have earned as much when you average 34 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 blocks in a four-game span. Expect that kind of numbers especially with Steph Curry out, but since Draymond Green could be on the shelf as well against the Lakers, the Slim Reaper should go berserk in Kobe's jersey retirement night. 2. Omri Casspi, SF/PF, Golden State Warriors Casspi Read More

NBA DFS Players to Target – 12/6/17

Kevin Durant, SF, GSW, $10,000 If Durant can calm down and not get thrown out of tonight’s game, then I love his value at $10K. With Steph Curry out the next two weeks with an ankle injury, look for KD to absorb a lot of Curry’s stats and shots. He’s had some ankle issues of his own recently, but he gets a nice matchup with the Hornets tonight. Kyrie Irving, PG, BOS, $8,900 “The Mask” has been heating up as of late, and hopefully Jayson Tatum’s improved shooting Read More

NBA MVP Power Rankings – In the Hunt

In the Hunt Kyrie Irving, PG, BOS, 20.6 points, 5.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds Irving’s stats are well below the other contenders for MVP, but he provides quality, clutch plays for the Celtics. He may not average nearly 30 a game, but he consistently closes games for the Celtics and is the trusted ball handler who limits turnovers and makes the right play when the game is on the line. He’s helped Al Horford and the rest of his teammates overachieve so far this year. In the epic game against the Read More

NBA DFS Pick’Em Strategy on Nov. 16 – 2017

Only 2 games to pick from tonight, but 3 of the 4 teams are loaded with fantasy talent. I took Joel Embiid in my DFS draft last night and he scored 90+ points. Let’s see if we can pick out some similar gems for tonight’s matchups. Tier 1: Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving My Choice: Kyrie Irving, PG, BOS Boston’s defense is legit; they have the 2nd best defensive rating relative to league average since 1976. Jump shooters are just 16 for 51 from behind the three-point line against Read More

Players to Target in NBA DFS on Nov. 13 – 2017

Kevin Durant, SF/PF, GS ($9,700) Durant filled up the stat sheet on Saturday with 29 points (11-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks against the 76ers. Durant is cheaper than both the twin towers from New Orleans and with Steph Curry unlikely to play tonight that means Durant will do most of the heavy lifting for the Warriors. Ben Simmons, PG/SF, PHI ($8,500) Patrick Beverly is out for tonight’s game which should open up passing and driving lanes for Simmons. Read More

NBA DFS Basketball Players to Target on Monday – Oct. 23, 2017

Steph Curry, PG, GSW ($8,700) Given he’s more than $2K cheaper than James Harden, Steph Curry is a bargain here, as long as he isn’t suspended last minute for allegedly throwing his mouthpiece at an official on Saturday in Memphis. Curry is quietly averaging 29.0 ppg, while adding 5 assists and nearly 5 rebounds per game. I like a fired up Curry to go off, especially with a weak defensive opponent in the Mavericks. At this price, take Curry, and use the money saved to target better role Read More

5 Surprising NBA Stats Through Week 6

We do want little surprises here and there to spice things up, don't we? However, as fantasy basketball die-hards, surprises are the last things we want. But since it's pretty much a part of our fantasy basketball lives, we might as well deal with it the best way possible. 1. Jrue Holiday and Danny Green's Impact The Pelicans kinda suck, let's face it, but they would suck a lot more if Jrue Holiday isn't there. Anthony Davis 'may be having a historic, Michael Jordan, Kareem-like season, but Read More
