NBA Fantasy Players: Locks For Your Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup (As of Monday, December 15th)
Fanduel has somewhat slacked off on changing some prices recently. A bunch of the mid range guys have recently seen increased roles on their teams, which will help your overall score night in and night out. At this point in the season, there is no point in luckboxing rookies anymore. We have a large enough sample size to know who is capable of what vs. who. Now is where research starts paying off, when you can compare opposing offense vs opposing defense, positional rankings… and value plays! Daily fantasy sites stay on top of their players prices as much as possible. However every week there is always a guy who seems to be priced way too high, or way too low. Here are a few guys that I think are underpriced for their roles right now.
(Fanduel Game Log)
Robert Covington is a player who has recently seen a huge minute increase for the 76’ers and should be slotted in the starting lineup until he cools off and some. In four out of his past five games, he has managed to score at least 20 points from the field, and while the offense wont always be there. He is very capable of adding enough rebounds, steals, and blocks to make him worth his cheap price tag.
Even with Kelly Olynyk’s recent success Boston coach Brad Stevens has repeatedly maintained that he will keep Zeller as his starting center. Tonight Tyler Zeller is going up against the 76’ers whom Nets backup PF/C Mason Plumlee easily got a double double against last night. Look for Zeller to hit around 30 FP at least tonight, and use this to your advantage while his price tag is still low.
Pau Gason/Taj Gibson-PF-CHI
Joakim Noah is out tonight (12/15) so look for both Pau and Taj to have an increased role on both sides of the floor.
Michael Kidd Gilchrist-SF-CHA-$4800
MKG is said to be returning to the starting lineup soon after a long absence due to injury. While last Wednesday he played 19 minutes and was completely “gassed”. However Saturday he played 28 minutes and managed 24.5 FDP. Tonight he doesnt have the best matchup, probably guarding LeBron James at times, but as soon as he is back in the starting lineup take advantage of him.
While George Hill is out Watson will be seeing most, if not all of the minutes at PG. Look for him to get at least 30 minutes and with the time he gets, the stat sheet should fill itself.
Other players to keep in mind
Corey Joseph (If Tony Parker sits)
Tony Wroten- Weird stat lines but smelling 35+ points soon
