3 players to build your draftkings lineup around. Dec. 11th

Tuesday Recap

Ben Simmons 28.75 FPTs 7P/7A/9R

RJ Barrett 10 FPTs 5P/4R

Marcus Morris 12.75 FPTs 10P/3R

Daily Knicks

Ben Simmons had a disappointing night. I was hoping Ben could get on a roll and notch a triple double. He had 7 points 6 assists and 7 rebounds going into the 4th quarter, unfortunately he only added 1 assist and 2 rebounds in the quarter and was a non factor. Ben was a huge success last night compared to my other locks

Well, you don’t get rich picking the Knicks. RJ Barrett had 5 points and 4 rebounds in 19 minutes of play. The Knicks were embarrassed by Portland and RJ might have been the worst Knick on the court.

Marcus Morris had a horrendous game. He had 3.75 fantasy points at halftime and finished with 12.75, Morris only tallied 10 points and 3 rebounds, capping a truly terrible night for my picks

Tuesday Picks

Looking to get that train wreck of a Tuesday out of the way with 3 picks to build your

DraftKings lineup around for Wednesday’s 11 game slate.

Bleacher Report

Buddy Hield – $7,100

Buddy Hield has been torching teams recently. I used him in my lineup last time Sacramento played and he finished with 40 fantasy points. In his last 8 games he has scored at least 21 points and he has surpassed his fantasy average in each game too. Hield is only improving as his streak continues. He was shooting terribly from 3, he had 5 straight games were he shot around 25%. The last 2 games he went 5-6 and 6-13, both games he had 26 points. Hield had over 20 points in those 5 games where he was struggling from 3, if Buddy is feeling it from deep he can easily get 50+ fantasy points. $7,100 is a steal for Hield tonight, I think he is going to go off.

PJ Tucker – $5,300

PJ Tucker has been a go too for me this season. I have used him several times and he always gets his fantasy points. Tucker has been in the high $4000s all year, this may be the second time I have had him when he was priced as high as $5,300. This is still a good price for what you get from him. He is almost guaranteed to get 30+ minutes and he is all over the court getting his minutes. PJ doesn’t always score a lot of points but he fills the stat sheet in other ways, he has been a very consistent pick. He is always one of the league leaders in corner 3 percentage, if he gets that shot to fall he can easily break the 40 fantasy point total. Tucker is one of Houston’s better defenders, he is averaging 1.5 steals a game and will get the occasional block. I’m expecting another good game from PJ

Pelican Debrief

Jaxson Hayes – $4,100

The Pelicans put Okafor in the starting lineup last game and he immediately found himself in foul trouble. Hayes came off the bench and continued his good play, scoring 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Hayes is listed as the starting Center for the Pelicans tonight, they may change it to Okafor closer to tipoff but I think Hayes will get more minutes than him even if he comes off the bench. Jaxson is a good value tonight at $4,100,

Those are 3 players to build your lineup around, it will leave you with an average player salary of $6,700, plenty of money to spread around. You can add one of the top 3 salaries (Harden, LBJ, Trae) and still have enough left over for another high 7000/low 8000 salaried player.

Josh Hart has been getting some more minutes off the bench and will continue to get more if JJ struggles like last game. He is a risk but he is only $4,100. I am looking at 3 Nets that are all around the same price, I am going to work at least on of them into my lineup. Temple is $5,500, Harris is $5,600 and Prince is a little more expensive at $6,600. I am leaning more towards Harris or Temple, there are better players with higher ceilings at Prince’s salary. Good luck filling out the rest of your lineup.
