NBA All-Star Weekend 2020 Predictions: Dribbles, Passes, Slam Dunks And Three-Pointers

Based on the headline alone, you can readily see that I'm somewhat biased when it comes to the events I'm going to watch in the NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago this year. I think the Dunk Contest and the Three-Point shootout is when I see a semblance of competition, so I'm not going to miss that for anything. Unless the NBA decides to include a King of the Court competition (or something of that sort) for the Saturday festivities, them slam dunks and three-pointers are going to be the center of Read More

Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 11, 2020

There were hits and a miss from the Feb. 10, 2020 suggestions but I guess it's not enough to halt my streak. From up top, I gave you Nikola Vucevic and Kristaps Porzingis and they did what they had to as pillars for your fake teams. Vucevic had 24-9-9 and a block, and that fact that he did not commit a single turnover maximized his counting stats. KP, on the other hand, had 28 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks. Malcolm Brogdon was underwhelming this time as he had his Read More

Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 10, 2020

I got it rolling the last time I did my best value picks going six for seven in the names I dropped. The seventh, Victor Oladipo, rested so I think I should get a free pass for that. Here's a rundown of what happened Feb. 8th: First name dropped was Nikola Jokic, who was absolutely volcanic in the previous games leading to this one. He cooled off a little bit but was still stellar: 23-9-6 plus a steal and three blocks. The six turnovers did hurt a little bit but he was still good for over 48 FP Read More

BEST VALUE PICKS FOR NBA DFS FEB. 8, 2020

The Studs The real explosive pickup here would be Nikola Jokic who is essentially averaging a triple-double over the last six games. However, the Joker has hit the $10,000 threshold over at DraftKings. At Yahoo, he was at $49, which is reasonable, but you may want to look at other options at DK.  For instance, outside of the blowout win over Houston, DeAndre Ayton has average 23.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 0.6 steals over the previous five games. As mentioned, he Read More

Fantasy Winners And Losers At The NBA Trade Deadline

The annual crazy exodus otherwise known as the NBA trade deadline has passed and it was one of the busiest in recent memory. At least 25 players changed uniforms and that includes a number of high calibers such as Andre Drummond, D'Angelo Russell, and Andrew Wiggins. Here are the fantasy winners and losers at the NBA trade deadline: Winners Christian Wood, PF/C, Detroit Pistons The ultra-talented big man just saw his value skyrocket when the Pistons decided to get rid of Andre Drummond and ship Read More

Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 5, 2020

From top to bottom, here is a brief recap of my best value picks for Feb. 4: For the first time in a long time, Damian Lillard looked human. He finished with 21-2-9 plus a steal. He didn't have single TO in the blowout loss so that helped his value a little. Zion Williamson is still figuring everything out in his seventh game but he is an automatic 30+ FP player already. He had 20-7-4 plus a steal against the Bucks but if he just relaxed a little bit and lowered the TOs, it would have been better. Terry Read More

Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 4, 2020

I got back on track on Feb. 3 with really solid picks from top to bottom.  I suggested Deandre Ayton or Nikola Vucevic and while both came through, Ayton basically feasted in the paint with 25-17-5 with two blocks. Vucevic had 22-7-5 but he had to "contend" with Aaron Gordon's double-double, which explains why he didn't have to do more. On the other hand, the Suns saw Devin Booker score only 11 so Ayton had to pick up the slack, leading to a better fantasy performance. As predicted, Jayson Read More

Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 3, 2020

There are times when it's just not your night and Feb. 2 wasn't, at least for my suggested value picks. Here's the recap: I did go for Spicy P and Jrue Holiday and they simply just did not do enough for various reasons. Siakam and the Raptors completely destroyed the Bulls so he doesn't have to do much while Holiday had to give way to the excellent performances of Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, and Zion Williamson. Jerami Grant and Kyle Lowry did satisfactorily well if you consider them as secondaries. Read More

Best Value Picks For NBA DFS Feb. 2, 2020

I happened to suggest picking up Donovan Mitchell in probably the worst game of his life in my last batch of best value picks for Jan. 30 but that's about it. It was a pretty big miss, though, since Mitchell only had four points and five rebounds with eight assists. Thats said, all of the other picks from top to bottom did their part and then some. Bradley Beal was in beast mode once more with 34-9-9 (plus a steal). Montrezl Harrell, Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier, and Larry Nance Jr. surely helped Read More
